Increasing cultural diversity brings in new ideas and opportunities, and yet they also set off new challenges and conflicts. When do cultures collide and when do they synergize? How can people and organizations effectively transform cultural collision into synergy?
Conflicts between individuals inevitably occur and can be difficult to manage. The ability to talk about these social conflicts openly (e.g., negotiation, delivering/receiving feedback) is critical. What are some wise strategies that help people approach conflict, communicate effectively, and potentially reach win-win solutions?
Whatever age or stage of life—whatever our particular concerns, aims, or struggles—pursuing multiple goals is an inescapable reality of being human. How do people manage two or more (conflicting) goals at the same time? What principles do people use, and in what ways can these principles be useful?
